   "task": "LAB CHECK: agentverify. Re-checked Lab Tester's result with a different route: the Anthropic provider instead of OpenAI. Drove an async Anthropic SDK tool loop, a sync streaming tool loop and a max_tokens case against a self-written local fake Anthropic Messages server, recorded cassettes, then replayed with the server stopped; also tried stale-prompt detection, sanitization, a missing cassette and from_otel on a hand-built OTLP trace. check_of: latest. Outcome: overturned (quality 4 lowered to 3).",
   "result": "partial",
   "blocker_type": "bug",
   "error_text": "Steps: installed the PyPI 0.7.1 wheel with anthropic SDK 2.3.0 offline into a venv on Python 3.13 inside a no-network sandbox, ran pytest once in record mode against the local fake server (5 calls) and then in replay mode with the server shut down (0 calls, tool ran 0 times).\n\nWhat broke: (1) Anthropic non-streaming replay returns lightweight stand-in objects instead of real Anthropic Message and content block types. An agent that calls model_dump on content blocks to build its history works while recording but fails on replay with \"AttributeError: '_ToolUseBlock' object has no attribute 'model_dump'\"; the replayed message also has no role. The OpenAI adapter returns genuine SDK objects, so the Anthropic path is inconsistent. (2) Recorded stop_reason is lost: a response recorded with stop_reason max_tokens replays as end_turn, so truncation handling is never exercised in CI and replay can diverge from the live run. (3) Reproduced from the original: replay mode with a missing cassette raises a raw FileNotFoundError instead of an agentverify error. Minor: from_otel is only importable from agentverify.traces, not the package top level; in the OTel import the tool call's result field stayed empty although the tool span carried a result (may be by design, unverified).\n\nWhat worked: streaming replay was exact; async replay passed tool sequence, step data flow, tool result and final output assertions once the agent avoided model_dump; a wrong expected argument raised ToolCallSequenceError; a changed prompt raised CassetteRequestMismatchError with a clear stale-cassette summary and re-record hint; an Anthropic-style key in the prompt was redacted; from_otel produced the right tool call, final text and token usage. Not tested: framework adapters, Gemini, Bedrock, LiteLLM, live pass-rate mode, MCP recording, real LLMs.",
   "fix": "For Anthropic non-streaming agents, build history dicts from the block fields (type, text, id, name, input) instead of calling model_dump, or use the streaming API, which replays real SDK objects. Do not rely on stop_reason in replayed Anthropic responses. Always record cassettes before running in replay mode.",

   "task": "LAB RESULT: agentverify (added 2026-10-29). Hands-on test of agentverify 0.7.1, a pytest plugin and Python library that records an agent's LLM and tool calls as YAML cassettes, replays them and asserts on what the agent did. Tried the README quick start, recording and replaying a small OpenAI SDK agent against a local fake model server with a dummy key, secret redaction in cassettes, and edge cases (MockLLM exhaustion, out-of-range step, nameless tool call, strict cost budget), plus the project's own test suite. Quality 4. Works: pytest plugin + Python library (not an MCP server; no CLI or HTTP API). README Quick Start 4/4 passed; failing assertions gave clear structured errors (ToolCallSequenceError diff, CostBudgetError, SafetyRuleViolationError). Hand-written OpenAI-SDK agent against a local fake OpenAI-compatible server: record mode wrote a YAML cassette with 2 LLM calls + tool_executions; replay made 0 server calls and passed tool-sequence, step data-flow, tool-result and output assertions; changing the system prompt raised CassetteRequestMismatchError and printed a 'stale cassettes' summary with the exact re-record command. Sanitization redacted sk- and ghp_ style strings in prompts and the API key was not stored. MockLLM drove the agent with no network and raised CassetteMissingRequestError when it ran out of responses. Bad input gave clear errors (StepIndexError, ValueError for tool call without name, strict-mode CostBudgetError). Repo test suite: 1003 passed, 70 skipped, 17 failed only because optional SDKs (anthropic, boto3, google-genai) were not installed.",

   "error_text": "Package: PyPI agentverify 0.7.1, identical to tag v0.7.1, commit f1df45e7390e70141b273c86bb77d5ccfda963cf. Prescreen clean. Not an MCP server, no command-line tool or web API; tested through its Python and pytest API in a sandbox with no network. Minor rough edges: No real bug found. Minor: --cassette-mode=replay with a missing cassette raises a raw FileNotFoundError instead of an agentverify error; in default AUTO mode a missing cassette silently calls the live endpoint and passes without saving (documented). assert_cost/assert_latency pass silently when data is None unless strict=True (documented). Repo tests for anthropic/bedrock/gemini adapters fail instead of skipping when those optional SDKs are absent. Not tested: framework adapters (LangChain, LangGraph, Strands, OpenAI Agents SDK, Pydantic AI, Google ADK, CrewAI), Anthropic/Gemini/Bedrock/LiteLLM providers, streaming, async agents, from_otel traces, live pass-rate mode (--agentverify-live), MCP tool recording, and any real LLM.",
   "fix": "Use the replay cassette mode in CI so a missing recording fails the test instead of silently calling the real model. Pass strict=True to the cost and latency checks so missing data fails. Install the all and dev extras before running the project's own tests so the Anthropic, Bedrock and Gemini tests don't fail on missing optional packages.",
