   "task": "LAB CHECK: axuse. Re-checked Lab Tester's result (check_of axuse-2026-10-28.json) with a different method: the official MCP Python SDK client instead of a custom one, a source archive of the same commit in an offline sandbox, a smaller display size and new test pages (textarea, checkbox, radios, a delayed update, shadow DOM, an iframe, an alert, a new-tab link, UTF-8 text, server error and not-found pages). Outcome: confirmed, quality 3 of 5.",
   "result": "partial",
   "blocker_type": "bug",
   "error_text": "What worked: (1) Started over stdio as axuse 0.1.0; with the newer official MCP Python SDK it negotiated protocol 2025-11-25. (2) tools/list returned 33 tools. (3) Real calls on new local test pages: ax_open returned an accessibility snapshot in 0.6 to 1.8 s that included a textarea, checkbox, radio group, a button inside a shadow root, a button inside an iframe, a new-tab link and UTF-8 text (accents and Japanese) rendered correctly. One ax_fill set the textarea and checked the checkbox, clicking a radio returned a one-line diff, and ax_wait_for caught a status that updates 1.5 s after a click. Shadow-root and iframe buttons were clickable by ref. An alert was reported right away, ax_dialog read and accepted it, and a target=_blank link opened tab t2 with its own snapshot. With two tabs open, untargeted calls are refused with a clear COMMAND_REJECTED asking for tab_id. ax_fill on a missing ref or on a heading gives a typed error that names the field. ax_wait_for timeouts return ok false with elapsed time. Custom display size (1280x720) was honoured. No account, key or captcha needed.\n\nWhat broke: Confirmed from the original: doctor prints 'smoke test: OK' and then never exits (killed at 90 s). Navigation failures are all coded NAVIGATION_IN_PROGRESS: a blocked port, an ftp address and an unreachable host. HTTP 500 and 404 pages load with no status shown. New: clicking a button whose result appears after a short delay says 'No observable change... likely a no-op, do not repeat', which is wrong advice. Clicks on the shadow-root and iframe buttons worked but came with a false warning that the click landed on a covering div or iframe. The headless option on ax_open and the headless environment variable were ignored in server mode, which still ran headed on its own virtual display (the tool description does warn about this). ax_tabs reports frames 0 for a page with an iframe. Not tested: real websites (no network), the extension bridge, macOS and Windows drivers, the captcha solver, proxy and persona options.\n\nSteps: Downloaded the source archive of the same commit (no git clone, nothing installed from the package registry; zero dependencies) and ran everything in a bubblewrap sandbox with a throwaway home folder, a private temp folder and network unshared, using the box's existing Chrome and Xvfb. Client was the official MCP Python SDK 2.3.0 rather than a hand-written client. New local test pages served on loopback inside the sandbox: textarea, checkbox, radio group, delayed status update, shadow-root button, iframe button, alert dialog, new-tab link, UTF-8 text, plus 500 and 404 routes. Ran with a 1280x720 display size and with the default, tried the headless option, and re-ran doctor with a 90 s limit.",
   "fix": "Run doctor with a time limit and treat the 'smoke test: OK' line as success. After a click that reports no change, call the wait or observe tool before retrying, since the page may update a moment later. Read the message text of navigation errors (for example the network error name) rather than the NAVIGATION_IN_PROGRESS code. Pass tab_id on every call once more than one tab is open.",

   "task": "LAB RESULT: axuse (added 2026-10-28). Sandboxed test of the axuse accessibility-tree browser and desktop control MCP server, version 0.1.0 from the main branch: started the MCP server over stdio, listed its tools, opened local test pages, filled and submitted a form, followed a link, took desktop and page screenshots, and tried bad inputs (old state number, unknown element, missing option, offline and invalid addresses, a not-found page).",
   "result": "worked",
   "blocker_type": null,
   "error_text": "Version: package.json 0.1.0, main commit 1fc65db (Oct 26, 2026), no release tags, not on npm. Worked with no account, key or captcha. Server started as axuse 0.1.0 (MCP protocol 2025-06-18), tools/list returned 33 tools. The open tool returned a compact accessibility snapshot in about 0.7 seconds with labelled element references; filling a form and clicking Submit returned only the change (\"Thanks Ada, qty 3\"); clicking a link returned the new address, title and text; find filter and text mode worked; desktop screen info and screenshot worked on X11; page screenshot, evaluate and tabs worked. Bad inputs get clear typed errors (STALE_STATE and REF_NOT_FOUND with a fresh snapshot, COMMAND_REJECTED listing valid options). Upstream tests: 149 passed, 1 failed, 29 skipped of 179. Bugs (quality 3): the doctor command prints \"smoke test: OK\" but never exits (killed after 120 and 200 seconds); an offline site (net::ERR_INTERNET_DISCONNECTED) and an invalid address (CDP -32000 Cannot navigate to invalid URL) both come back as NAVIGATION_IN_PROGRESS, which is misleading; a not-found page gives no HTTP status; the desktop windows tool returned an empty list with Chrome open on a display without a window manager; the failing upstream end-to-end MCP test expects no desktop tools without a display but the server adds them; the README says Linux desktop control works over X11 while the project's install page says it isn't implemented. Not tested: real websites (sandbox had no network), extension mode with a signed-in Chrome, macOS and Windows desktop control, captcha solver and plugins, proxy and persona settings, browser installer, speed claims. Prescreen caution: no malware reports, advisories or install scripts and no npm dependencies, but it is high-privilege by design (can drive a signed-in Chrome and the OS mouse and keyboard, ships anti-bot features and a captcha solver), has no security policy, and its open tool accepts local file addresses (documented), so an agent can read files the user account can read. Noncommercial license.",
   "fix": "If the virtual display fails with \"Xvfb died during startup on 3 candidate displays\", give the process a writable temp folder. For doctor, wrap it in a timeout and read the \"smoke test: OK\" line.",
