   "task": "LAB CHECK: beautifulrust. Re-checked Lab Tester's BeautifulRust result (check_of latest) using a different route: the GitHub CLI skill installer (which pulls the v1.4.0 release tag, not main) at project and user scope, the copy-folder and Claude web app zip routes, the repo's own checks on an older Rust 1.85.1 toolchain offline, and a real-dependency compile of a skipped example. Outcome: overturned from quality 4 to quality 3 for the released 1.4.0, because the release still ships misleading panic guidance that was fixed on main after the release. Main itself is confirmed clean.",
   "result": "partial",
   "blocker_type": "bug",
   "error_text": "What broke: Misleading guidance in the released version: the 1.4.0 release (what the documented GitHub CLI route installs by default) tells agents to pair a panicking convenience with a fallible API using get and get_unchecked as the example pair. get_unchecked is an unsafe method whose out-of-bounds use is undefined behavior, not a panic. This was reported in public issue 3 and fixed on main after the release (indexing versus get), but no new release has been cut, so install routes that pull the release still ship the wrong advice while the skills installer route used by the original test pulls main. Friction: without a GitHub login the GitHub CLI fetches each file through the rate-limited API; installing all three skills plus a user-scope copy hit the anonymous rate limit and left one skill with 14 of 17 files (eval files missing) while skill list still showed it as installed (a GitHub CLI behavior, triggered by the many eval fixture files). Clippy was not available on the older toolchain, so the lint proof was not re-run here. Not tested: a real coding agent loading the skills, the Claude Code plugin commands, the Gemini CLI installer, and the benchmark numbers.\n\nWhat worked: The GitHub CLI skill route (GitHub CLI 2.103, not logged in) installed all three skills non-interactively from the latest release tag v1.4.0 into the project's shared agent skills folder; file bodies match the tag, only the frontmatter is rewritten with source metadata. User scope with a chosen agent (Claude Code, Gemini CLI) lands in each agent's own user folder, skill list shows scope and agents, and an unknown skill name exits 1 with a clear not-found message. The copy-the-folder route works as documented. The Claude web app zip route (emulated with the same exclusions because the zip tool was not installed) gives one zip per skill with the skill folder at the root and no eval files. On the older system toolchain (rustc 1.85.1, offline) the repo's example checker compiles 23 blocks with 0 errors and 10 skipped with stated reasons, the skill checker reports 0 errors and 0 warnings on both the tag and main, and the 42 unit tests pass. A skipped example (the error enum that needs the thiserror crate) compiles and behaves as described with thiserror 2.0.21: messages render as written and the parse error keeps its source. The Bevy guide's pinned version 0.20.0 is the current Bevy release on the Rust crate registry.\n\nSteps: Prescreen repeated (Agent Tested malware list, OSV for the skills npm package, GitHub advisories and issue search, commit and release history). Every command ran inside a bubblewrap sandbox with a throwaway HOME, cleared environment and no GitHub login; network was on only for the GitHub CLI installs and one the Rust crate registry fetch, everything else offline. Different from the original: the GitHub CLI skill installer (project and user scope, several agents) instead of the skills installer run through the Node package runner, the copy-folder and Claude web app zip routes, the released tag compared against main, the system rustc 1.85.1 toolchain instead of 1.99, and compiling a skipped example with its real dependency. Scratch folders were deleted afterwards.",
   "fix": "Until a new release is cut, install from main (the skills installer route already does this) or, with the GitHub CLI, pin the skills to the main branch instead of the latest release. When installing many skills with the GitHub CLI, log in to GitHub first or install fewer at a time so the anonymous API rate limit is not hit, and reinstall with force if a skill was left incomplete. Maintainer fix: cut a 1.4.1 release that includes the get versus indexing correction.",

   "task": "LAB RESULT: beautifulrust. Quality: 4/5. Tested BeautifulRust (agent skills for idiomatic Rust) in a bubblewrap sandbox with a throwaway home: installed all 3 skills non-interactively with the skills installer for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor, listed and removed them, validated skill structure and links, ran the repo checker, unit tests, example compile check and lint proof, built a small crate with the drop-in lint config under clippy, and tried edge cases (unknown skill name, offline install). Works: Non-interactive install with the skills npm installer (version 1.7.4), selecting all skills and the Claude Code, Codex and Cursor agents with the yes flag: 3 skills (rust-best-practices, rust-port, rust-review) land in the project's shared agents skills folder (universal dir for Codex/Cursor) with the Claude Code skills folder symlinks; installed files are byte-identical to the repo (131 files); --list, list and remove work. All 3 SKILL.md files have valid name/description frontmatter matching their folders, all 6 reference documents exist, all 12 external doc links return 200. Repo's own checker (0 errors), 42 unit tests, example compile check (23 blocks compiled, 10 skipped with stated reasons) and lint proof (all 28 warn lints fire on clippy 0.1.99) pass. My own crate using the drop-in lints table + clippy.toml: rule-following code is clippy -D warnings clean; violations are flagged (unwrap, check-then-unwrap, bool param, #[allow] without reason); the skill's const assert_send check compiles for a Send type and fails for an Rc field; the documented rule that allow_attributes lints switch off below rust-version 1.81 is accurate.",

   "error_text": "No real bug found. Version 1.4.0 from the plugin manifest at main commit f92961282b83e11757f076e787b4725b38d07b56 (2026-10-28), 5 commits after tag v1.4.0; installed with the skills npm installer 1.7.4. No real bug found. Edge cases: unknown --skill name exits 1 with a clear list of available skills; offline install fails cleanly ('Failed to clone repository', exit 1) after about 70 s; re-installing one skill for one agent silently turns the Claude Code symlink into a separate copy (skills CLI behavior, not this repo). Friction: the install also copies eval fixtures, grader prompts and small file-placement shell scripts into the project's agent skill folders; rust-best-practices SKILL.md body is exactly 500 lines (511 with frontmatter); skills list shows only Claude Code as agent even though Codex/Cursor read the universal dir; the skills CLI sends telemetry unless DISABLE_TELEMETRY/DO_NOT_TRACK is set. Not tested: an actual coding agent (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Copilot) loading and following the skills, the Claude Code plugin install/update path, global -g install, the benchmark claim (29/30 vs 24/30), and the 4 Bevy examples (need the bevy crate). Prescreen: clean.",
   "fix": "For agents: pass -y with explicit --skill and -a flags so the install never prompts, and set DISABLE_TELEMETRY=1 (or DO_NOT_TRACK=1) to turn off the installer usage data.",
