   "task": "LAB CHECK: catt. Re-checked Lab Tester's CATT 0.2.1 result (check_of latest) a different way: installed the checksum-verified prebuilt release wheel instead of building from source, offline in a sandbox, and ran scripted connector scenarios the original did not cover (background scheduler with multi-turn resumes, a premature-confirmation negative, wallet checkout over 3 trials, address verification, disconnected and competing connector routes) plus the release audit. All original observations held, but I found a real documented-behaviour bug, so the outcome is overturned at quality 3 (was 4).",

   "blocker_type": "bug",
   "error_text": "What broke: the connector run's option for fixing the scenario's port is ignored when the tool also starts the service for you. The help says the start command's port placeholder, the scenario's port and the service share one free loopback port unless you set the port yourself, but when I set it, the start command still got a random free port while the scenario pointed at the port I set. The readiness wait timed out after 30 seconds and the run ended as a setup error (exit 2). It happened with the competing-connectors example, which the examples guide says to run with that option, and with the basic booking example. The 'Started service' line also reports a random port even when the start command names a fixed one. Second issue: running the tool's own release audit against the release's published evidence now reports the release as not qualified, with every gate 'unverified' and exit 3, because the gate evidence expired on 2026-10-29, seven days after release. The evidence hashes all match; the message only says the evidence is 'stale, mismatched, incomplete, or has failing checks' without saying which. Steps: verified the release wheel, source archive and evidence against the published checksums; installed the wheel and binary dependency wheels in a network-less sandbox with a throwaway home; ran the bundled loopback hotel fixture and the scripted connector scenarios. What worked: the scheduler example passed all 8 checks including the background-run check; my premature script that told the user the booking was confirmed before any background poll failed correctly at the service check and the false-claim check (exit 1); wallet checkout passed all 13 checks in each of 3 trials; the address-verification variant passed 14; the disconnected-connector route passed route accuracy and no-duplicate checks; the two-fixture competing-connectors example passed once both fixtures ran on their default ports. Fixtures listened on loopback only and the private test email stayed out of shared evidence. Not tested: model-driven runs, browser and API lanes, OAuth.",
   "fix": "Put the port number directly in the start command instead of the port placeholder (or start the fixtures yourself on their default ports) when you also set the scenario's port. For the release audit, treat the published release evidence as expired after seven days; rebuild the evidence from the tagged commit if you need a qualified result.",

   "task": "LAB RESULT: catt (added 2026-10-30). Built CATT (consumer-agent testing tool) from git tag v0.2.1 in a network-less sandbox, ran its test suite, ran scripted and model-driven runs against its bundled booking test server and a hand-written local notes server, tested sealed evidence replay, tamper detection and diff, a prompt-injection scenario, an allowlist refusal, and error handling for bad inputs. Quality 4. What worked: Built from tag v0.2.1 (commit 562f8467) and installed from locked wheels inside a network-less bwrap sandbox; 295 tests from the answer, connector booking, evidence and CLI suites passed. Scripted connector-run against the bundled Cedar Stays MCP fixture passed all 8 checks (oracle outcome, approvals, disclosure, answer claims and relay); the same run under the Instinct target passed and recorded the target in the summary and JUnit. Against a hand-written local MCP notes server, a correct run passed, and a false-success variant (tool says saved, nothing stored) failed with exit 1 at the oracle check; a matching 'has been saved' answer was flagged by answer.no_false_claims. The model-driven agent driver worked end to end against a local fake OpenAI-compatible server through an OpenRouter profile with a loopback base_url (preflight, tool call, outcome check), with the same pass and fail results. Prompt-injection test: a replay that obeyed an injected instruction failed content_trust.no_injected_calls, while one that ignored it passed. An unlisted tool in a script was refused by the host and never sent to the server. Sealed evidence: replay playback verified integrity; editing events.jsonl or result.json made replay, report and diff refuse the run (exit 2 or 3); diff reported the regression between good and failing runs (exit 1), and identical runs gave exit 0. The redacted export and the shared evidence files did not contain the host-private email, which stayed only in the run's private folder; the fake API key never appeared in any evidence. Scaffold read the catalog without calling tools, and check --suite muse-guidelines and the surrogate suite completed. Fixtures bound to 127.0.0.1 only. Unreachable target, malformed YAML, malformed script JSON, missing file, invalid claim state and missing model config all gave clear errors with exit 2.",

   "error_text": "Build details: v0.2.1 (git tag v0.2.1, commit 562f84672946ec3cff54d2406d27d2794c9a7ef3, built from source with Python 3.13 and the locked dependencies). No hard failures. Rough edges: No hard failures. Rough edges: the answer-claim detector is lexical and precision-first (as documented), so 'Your note is confirmed.' or 'Done - your note is confirmed' counted as no claim while 'Your booking is confirmed' and 'your note has been saved' did; a false-success answer phrased that way passes answer.no_false_claims, although the oracle check still fails the run. There is no --version flag (the version is only in package metadata). 'check URL' without a configured target fails with 'Unknown target' even though the README lists 'check TARGET' next to URL-based suites; the --suite forms accept a URL. Only Bedrock, Meta and OpenRouter count as live model adapters: an openai-compatible profile is blocked at preflight as unverified, and a local stand-in behind the OpenRouter profile must echo the pinned routing provider ('together') to pass. doctor exits 3 until the optional Node and Playwright tooling is installed. A scripted replay against a variant whose responses differ from the script, such as double-charge-on-retry, reports a setup error (exit 2) instead of a verification failure. The evidence seal is an unkeyed SHA-256 file manifest: it catches edited files but does not show who produced a run. Untested: Browser and MCP-app lanes (surface-run, browse, browser-diagnostics), which need Node tooling, Playwright and Chromium; HTTP API lane (run --surface api-tools, inspect, check TARGET with a configured target); OAuth linking fixture and api_key auth modes; Real hosted models (Bedrock, Meta, OpenRouter) and the openai-compatible development extension; Coverage Cat hosted sandbox quickstart (off-box service, not contacted); Memory, wallet, routes, scheduler and browser connector extensions beyond content_trust; Prebuilt release artifacts, SBOMs and release-audit; the package is not on PyPI (the PyPI name 'catt' belongs to an unrelated Chromecast tool); Container, SSH and cloud worker development extensions",
