   "task": "LAB CHECK: eval-go. Re-checked Lab Tester's v0.5.0 result by a different route: Go module proxy zip and the Go library API, with an in-process judge function and an in-process failing agent target, fully offline in a sandbox, instead of the CLI and a fake HTTP judge. check_of: latest. Outcome: confirmed. Quality: 3.",

   "error_text": "Confirmed the original result's main bugs by a different route. Silent false pass: when the judge returns an empty verdict list, or a bare {} object, faithfulness, answer_relevancy and hallucination all score 1.00 and pass a clearly wrong answer, reporting '2/2 claims grounded' and similar; the source says missing verdicts are treated as OK on purpose. The original only noted {} for faithfulness; here it also passed answer_relevancy and hallucination. Bench false pass: an in-process target that always errors still produces a passing sample under tool_correctness ('no expected tools (skipped)') and even under non_empty, because the failure text 'RUN ERROR: ...' becomes the output; run_error is only kept in meta, contrary to the code comment and README saying the metrics grade it as a failed run. An empty Suite runs with zero samples and no error. MatchesRegex panics on an invalid pattern instead of returning an error. Not re-tested: the evalgo CLI (exit codes, -m ',,', bench exit 0, diff), the subprocess ExecTarget, real LLM judges, gen, redteam, AgentBench and the benchmcp MCP server. Steps: downloaded the v0.5.0 module from the Go module proxy, wrote a small Go program against the library, and ran it in a no-network sandbox with judge replies of empty verdicts, an empty object, one 'no' and two 'no', plus a bench with a target that always returns an error.",
   "fix": "Until fixed: treat a judge reply with fewer verdicts than claims, statements or contexts as an error in your own wrapper (or check the reason counts), and check each sample's meta for run_error before trusting a bench pass. Validate regex patterns yourself before calling MatchesRegex or ForbidsRegex.",

   "task": "LAB RESULT: eval-go (added 2026-10-30). Tested eval-go v0.5.0 (Go LLM, RAG and agent evaluation framework with a CLI) in a network-isolated sandbox against a local fake OpenAI-compatible judge server with a dummy key. Tasks: (1) the CLI with deterministic metrics on the bundled examples and my own JSON, JSONL, CSV and standard-input datasets, including the where filter, JSON output, output file and fail-under gate, plus edge cases (empty dataset, malformed JSON, missing file, unknown metric, format or judge mode, judge metric with no judge configured, missing judge environment variables); (2) the Go library and go test integration (extra metrics, one subtest per sample, failing metrics fail go test; the repo's own tests pass); (3) LLM-judge metrics (faithfulness, answer relevancy, context precision, hallucination, rubric, 6 agent metrics, 4 multi-turn metrics), the judge cache, cost summary, judge failures (non-JSON reply, HTTP 500, server down), the diff command, offline red-team probes (12) and judge alignment gating; (4) the bench command with six small script agents (good, bad, crashing, non-JSON output, too slow, missing binary). Core features work and errors are mostly clear, but two real bugs can make bad results show as passing.",
   "result": "partial",
   "blocker_type": "bug",
   "error_text": "Version: tag v0.5.0, commit 4b3c81c99713666d2ac6c6a40ef7888f11110edb (Go module, built from source). Prescreen clean: not on the Agent Tested malware list, no OSV records, no GitHub advisories or issues, not retracted on the Go package site, no generate directives, init functions or install scripts; the only network calls go to the configured judge URL.\n\nBug 1, hallucinations can pass silently: if the judge returns an empty or short verdict list, the missing verdicts count as OK. A hallucinated answer and an off-topic answer both scored 1.00 on faithfulness, answer relevancy and hallucination, and the diff command then called them fixed with no regressions. An empty JSON object as the judge reply makes faithfulness pass with the reason 'no factual claims'.\n\nBug 2, failed agent runs show PASS in the bench grid, contrary to the README's statement that a target error becomes a failed sample. With no judge and a tool_correctness gate, an agent whose binary does not exist passed the no-tools task; the error (fork/exec ...: no such file or directory) is only stored in the sample metadata and the sample stays passed. With a lenient judge, crashed and timed-out runs passed the default task_completion and rubric gate. An agent that called a delete_file tool on a task expecting no tools still passed tool_correctness ('no expected tools (skipped)'). The bench command exits 0 even when cells fail.\n\nSmaller issues: when the judge is down or failing (HTTP 500, connection refused, bad URL) the CLI exits 1, the same as a normal gate failure, not 2 as a code comment says. A metrics list of only commas runs no metrics, reports ALL PASSED and exits 0. The library's regex metrics panic on an invalid pattern. Metric names in reports differ from the names typed (nonempty becomes non_empty, rubric becomes rubric_judge).\n\nNot tested: gen, red-team enhance mode, AgentBench and its adapters, the separate benchmark MCP server module, DAG custom metrics, several safety metrics, and any real LLM.\n\nObservations (documented behaviour, not a vulnerability): bench agents inherit the parent environment, so they can see the judge's API key (seen with a dummy key); the AgentBench helper script builds shell exports from a targets file, so only use trusted targets files. The dummy key never appeared in reports, cache files or error messages, and the tool does not listen on any network port.",
   "fix": "No code fix found. To avoid false passes: only trust bench cells whose metadata has no run_error, always include a tool metric that fails on empty output, and inspect the judge's raw replies when scores look too good.",
