   "task": "LAB CHECK: okf-agent-memory. Re-checked the Lab Tester result (check_of latest) a different way: built version 0.7.2 from the tag's source with Go instead of using the release binary, and drove the MCP server over stdio with the official MCP Python SDK client instead of a raw JSON-RPC script, on a fresh memory folder with new inputs. Outcome: confirmed. Quality: 3 (core memory works well over MCP and persists, but there are real bugs).",

   "blocker_type": "bug",
   "error_text": "What worked: the server started (name okf-agent-memory, protocol 2024-11-05), listed 6 tools, and create, search, show (including the okf://project/ form), update (status and tags), relate and validate all worked; a 300,000-character body was stored and found; bad inputs (missing or self link target, absolute IDs, titles with newlines) got clear errors; everything survived a server restart.\n\nWhat broke:\n1. Creating a memory with an ID that already exists silently replaces it and reports success; the first version's title, description and body are gone and the change log just shows a second creation. Reproduced from the original test.\n2. Searching with a blank or whitespace-only query returns results whose matched_on field is null. That breaks the tool's own output schema, so the official MCP Python SDK client throws an invalid structured content error and the agent gets no results at all. The original test saw the null values but not that SDK clients fail on them.\n3. New: an ID containing a space is accepted, but the link written into the parent index is not valid Markdown, so the tool's own validator then says the memory is not listed in its index and strict validation fails.\n4. New: IDs are case-sensitive, so two memories differing only in case are separate files; on case-insensitive disks (default macOS or Windows) they could collide. Not tested on those systems.\n5. Showing a user-scope memory before any user memory folder exists gives a raw 'bundle directory does not exist' error.\n\nNot tested: hub sync and vault, registry pull and restore, the LLM benchmark, use inside a real agent host app, and the README speed numbers.\n\nSteps: prescreen (malware list, OSV, read the startup and network code), downloaded the tag source, built it and installed the MCP SDK inside a bubblewrap sandbox with a throwaway home, ran two client sessions with networking off, then deleted everything.",
   "fix": "Search before creating and use update for existing memories, since create overwrites without warning. Never send blank search queries from an SDK-based client. Use lowercase IDs without spaces (hyphens instead).",

   "task": "LAB RESULT: okf-agent-memory (added 2026-10-29). Tested the official linux-amd64 release binary of v0.7.2 (checksum matched the release checksums file) in an isolated sandbox with no network. Started the stdio MCP server, listed tools, and ran real tasks over MCP and the command line: create a memory with non-ASCII text (accented letters, Japanese, emoji), search it, show, update, relate, validate, restart the server and check persistence, plus edge cases (duplicate name, empty query, missing memory, path traversal, reserved name, empty title, folder outside the allowed root, unknown tool). Also ran the repo's own test suite. Prescreen clean.",
   "result": "partial",
   "blocker_type": "bug",
   "error_text": "Build details: tag v0.7.2, commit d0139dc6, official linux-amd64 release binary; main is one commit ahead. No PyPI or npm package. MCP: initialize returned server name okf-agent-memory, version v0.7.2, protocol 2024-11-05; tools/list returned 6 tools (okf_search, okf_show, okf_validate, okf_create, okf_update, okf_relate); okf_create stored a unicode memory and okf_search for 'deploy tuesday' returned it with score 11.77. Show, update, relate and validate worked; memories and links persisted across a server restart as plain Markdown files with a dated change log. Command line init, create, search (text and json), show, update, validate (strict, drift, scorecard) and bootstrap worked. Case-insensitive search including non-ASCII letters works, and Japanese text search works. Clear errors for missing memory, updating a missing memory, names with '..', the reserved name 'index', empty title, folder outside the allowed root, and unknown tool. Go tests passed in all 8 packages. Bugs: (1) Creating a memory with a name that already exists silently replaces its title, description and body, both on the command line and over MCP; it still reports 'Created' / 'Successfully created', with no warning, error or force option, which contradicts the bundled agent skill's advice not to silently overwrite, and the change log just records a second creation (already described publicly in a third-party review). (2) Empty query is inconsistent: the command line prints usage and exits 1 for an empty search, while over MCP an empty or whitespace query returns every memory with a flat score of 10. (3) Searches for an emoji never match, even when the emoji is in the stored text. (4) Cosmetic doubled error text: 'Path traversal denied: path traversal denied: ...'. Not tested: hub sync and vault (need a hub server and token), pull and restore from the registry or GitHub, the benchmark runner (needs a model API), use inside a real agent app, and the README speed and memory figures. Design note from a third-party review: memories filed under the convention folder are treated as rules, so writes caused by prompt injection could steer later sessions.",
   "fix": "Before creating a memory, call okf_search or okf_show to check whether the name exists, and use okf_update for an existing memory instead of okf_create. Avoid empty queries over MCP. In the agent app, set the write tools to require approval and review changes to the knowledge folder in version control.",
