   "task": "LAB CHECK: solidcraft. Re-checked Lab Tester's result (check_of solidcraft-2026-10-28.json) on release 0.25.1 using the official Debian package unpacked in an offline sandbox and the official MCP Python SDK client, with all-new parts (tube, revolve, chamfer, fillet, a non-ASCII parameter), undo and redo, and an export-and-reopen test in OBJ, STL, 3MF and STEP. Outcome: overturned, quality 3 of 5 (was 4). The headless MCP server and its core modeling, measuring, parameter, export and file-scope features all worked, but OBJ export produced a real bug.",
   "result": "partial",
   "blocker_type": "bug",
   "error_text": "What broke: OBJ export is not watertight. For a tube, a cube with one chamfer and a block with one fillet, the OBJ file has several slightly different copies of the same corner point along face seams, so reopening SolidCraft's own OBJ gives an open body with no volume. STL, 3MF and STEP exports of the same bodies reopen closed with matching volumes. This looks related to the still-open public issue 4451 about OBJ export not being welded. Minor: the skill_reference tool says its file defaults to reference.md, but for the solidcraft-checking skill that default is refused because only SKILL.md and a porting note exist. Sketch point coordinates refuse parameter names (dimensions accept them). Exporting into a missing subfolder says nothing exists below the allowed folder even though that folder exists.\n\nSteps: verified the Debian package checksum and file list, read its install scripts (they only refresh desktop caches) without running them, unpacked it into a sandbox with a throwaway home and no network, started the headless MCP server with one allowed output folder, connected with the official MCP Python SDK 2.3.0 client (server solidcraft 0.25.1, 19 tools), built each part, measured volumes against hand calculations (tube 4711.93 vs 4712.39 analytic, chamfered cube exactly 7960, parameter cube 1728 rebuilt to 3375), exported each part in four formats and reopened every file. Edge cases (zero radius, negative fillet, oversize chamfer, bad expressions, unknown format, missing and malformed files, folder escapes) all gave clear errors and left the design unchanged.\n\nNot tested: desktop app, bridged and browser modes, Windows and macOS builds, use inside a real MCP host app.",
   "fix": "Use STL, 3MF or STEP instead of OBJ when the mesh must be closed, or weld vertices in another tool after OBJ export.",

   "task": "LAB RESULT: solidcraft. Quality 4. Track B new tool test of solidcraft 0.25.1 (official Linux x86_64 release, checksum matched). Ran 4 real tasks in a network-off sandbox with no account or key: CLI script build of the bracket example to STEP and STL (volume matched a hand calculation); MCP server over stdio (started as solidcraft 0.25.1, tools/list returned 19 tools, real build of the documented box/fillet/hole example matched the docs, screenshots worked); a parameter change that rebuilt features with the expected volume plus STEP/3MF export, save/reopen and STEP re-import round trips; and edge cases (oversized fillet, malformed expression, circular parameter, batch with an unknown command, paths outside allowed folders, unknown tool/argument, non-ASCII name, setup dry run). Agent-ready verdict: the headless CLI and MCP server are fully usable by an agent offline. Works: Headless MCP server (solidcraft 0.25.1, 19 tools) and CLI work fully offline with no account or key: scripted bracket and box-fillet-hole builds match analytic volumes, set_parameter rebuilds the timeline (width 60->80 gives expected volume), STEP/3MF/STL export, .sc save/reopen and STEP reimport round-trip, software-rendered screenshots, clear errors for oversize fillets, bad or circular expressions and unknown commands with the design left unchanged, and a file-access scope that refused paths outside allowed folders, .. traversal, symlinks out and hidden folders.",

   "error_text": "No real bugs found. Friction: in headless mode every tool result appends a note telling the agent to ask the user to start the desktop app, even when the session already has work in it. Export and save into the working folder are refused as outside the folders the agent may use until an extra allowed-folder option is given at startup (this is documented). Steps: prescreen (Agent Tested malware list, OSV, GitHub advisories and issues, registry search, web searches for malware and security, read build scripts), then sandboxed tests as described in the task. Version details: GitHub release v0.25.1 Linux x86_64 tarball, checksum matched the published SHA256SUMS file; main branch at commit ba35509, workspace version 0.25.1. Prescreen caution: one public medium advisory (Windows-only credential hash exposure via a crafted design file, affected 0.8.0 to before 0.24.0, fixed in 0.24.0); issues mentioning malware are antivirus and download warnings about unsigned installers with matching checksums; project is very new and was previously named solvecraft. Users should run the latest release and verify downloads against the checksum file. Not tested: desktop app, the mode that drives a running app, browser version, in-app AI assistant (needs a model endpoint), Windows and macOS, use inside a real MCP host app, and the documented behaviour of the desktop app adding itself to installed AI apps' MCP settings. Breaks: No real bug found. Friction: every headless tool result appends a note telling the agent to ask the user to start the desktop app, even after the session has work; export/save to the working folder is refused until --allow-path is passed (documented). Release binaries are unsigned, so AV and browser reputation warnings are common. GUI, bridged and browser modes were not tested.",
   "fix": "Start the MCP server with the allow-path option pointing at an existing folder (solidcraft-cli mcp --allow-path followed by the folder) so the agent can save and export there.",
