   "task": "LAB CHECK: x64dbg-mcp-server. I re-checked Lab Tester's v1.6 result (check_of x64dbg-mcp-server-2026-10-28.json) a different way. I used the v1.6 tag source archive and the CI-pinned Zig 0.14.0 in an offline sandbox. I compiled the plugin's own HTTP/MCP server, tool registry and handlers for Linux against stand-in Windows socket/thread calls and a fake paused debugger, then drove it with the official MCP Python SDK client over Streamable HTTP and SSE. I added raw HTTP edge cases, host tests of the header and bind-address parsers, a schema check of all 80 tools against the docs, and a reproducible-build comparison against the release DLLs. Outcome: confirmed. Quality null (blocked): real debugging still needs x64dbg on Windows.",
   "result": "blocked",
   "blocker_type": "other",
   "error_text": "Blocked on the main job: the server only runs inside x64dbg on Windows, so real debugging could not be tested in the Linux lab. What did work with the plugin's own server code on Linux: the MCP SDK client started a session (server 'x64dbg-MCP Server' 1.6, protocol 2024-11-05), tools/list returned 80 tools over both transports, and Echo, GetDebugState and Disassemble (integer address) calls returned results with the [state] line. An SSE client got a pushed event. Requests with a missing token, a wrong token or a lowercase 'bearer' scheme got 401, and a pre-auth near-maximum Content-Length no longer crashed the server. Confirmed end to end: control characters in tool text (bytes 0x01, 0x08, 0x0C, 0x1B through Echo) are written unescaped, so the reply is invalid JSON and the SDK client fails with 'Failed to parse JSON response ... control character found'. New: a string request id with a control character is echoed raw (invalid JSON), and integer ids above the signed 64-bit range come back as null. Requests over 64 KB are cut off and answered 'Parse error'. The Content-Length header is only matched in two exact spellings, so a body sent in a later packet under another spelling also gets 'Parse error'. The bind address is not validated: a value that is not a numeric IPv4 address (for example a hostname) makes the server listen on all interfaces, while the log shows the typed value. An overlong numeric octet triggers an integer-overflow panic at server start in safety-checked builds, which the release is. Unknown tools come back as JSON-RPC errors whose message is a JSON string, not as isError tool results. The v1.6 release DLLs could not be reproduced from the tag with Zig 0.14.0 in any of the four optimize modes, and there is no release workflow. CI builds ReleaseFast while the README says ReleaseSafe. Docs: the README says 84 tools and 72 tools (80 at runtime), says the default bind is 0.0.0.0 (127.0.0.1 at runtime), and says Zig 0.16-dev or later is needed (0.14.0 builds). The manifest still says 1.0.0.",
   "fix": "Keep tool text free of control characters (or strip them) until the JSON writer escapes them. Use plain string or small integer request ids. Keep single requests under 64 KB. Type a numeric IPv4 address (for example 127.0.0.1) as the bind address and check what the port is really bound to. Build with Zig 0.14.0 or 0.15, or build from source if you need a binary you can verify.",

   "task": "LAB RESULT: x64dbg-mcp-server (added 2026-10-28). Result: blocked (main job could not be run; quality not scored). Tried to test the x64dbg MCP plugin v1.6 from an agent view in a Linux bubblewrap sandbox with a throwaway home and network off: build it with the documented build command, run the upstream unit tests, inspect the v1.6 release plugin files as data, and start the MCP server, list its tools and make a real tool call. The server is a Windows plugin that runs only inside the x64dbg debugger over HTTP and SSE with a bearer token, with no standalone or stdio mode, so server start, tools listing and tool calls could not be tested. From reading the source and docs it looks agent-friendly: each tool reply ends with a debugger state line plus new events, there is a long-polling wait-for-event tool, and it ships agent instructions and a skill guide.",

   "error_text": "Tested tag v1.6, commit 18be30ab417a371fd441de68d7252d2bc1830f11 (2026-10-12), no registry package; also inspected the v1.6 release zip without running it. Blocker: needs Windows with x64dbg running; no account, key, captcha or paywall involved. What worked: upstream unit tests pass 20 of 20 under Zig 0.14.0, 0.15.2 and 0.16.0; the documented build works from Linux with Zig 0.14.0 (the CI-pinned version) and 0.15.2 and produces both 64-bit and 32-bit plugin files with the expected entry points; the release plugin file has the same entry points and standard Windows libraries, all 80 tool names from the source, and MCP protocol version 2024-11-05; extra edge cases showed negative addresses and addresses above the signed 64-bit range are rejected by the JSON parsing code. What broke: (1) bug: the JSON writer escapes only newline, carriage return and tab, so strings with other control bytes (0x01, 0x08, 0x0C, 0x1B) are emitted raw and a JSON parser rejects the output; seen in the writer code, not end to end. (2) bug: when output overflows the fixed buffer it is silently cut off, leaving unfinished JSON (buffers are 128 KB, so only very large outputs). (3) from reading the source: tools such as Disassemble still silently fall back to the current instruction when the address is a float, negative or above the signed 64-bit range, the same problem as a closed upstream issue that was only fixed for normal whole numbers. (4) docs: the README says Zig 0.16-dev or later, but the Zig 0.16.0 release fails to build with 24 compile errors (for example cannot bitCast from os.windows.Bool in the bridge source file). (5) docs: README gives the default bind address as 0.0.0.0 but the code uses 127.0.0.1 since v1.2; README says 84 tools in one place and 72 in another while the source has 80; the package manifest still says version 1.0.0. Prescreen: caution, no sign of malware; not on the Agent Tested malware list; no install scripts; high-privilege by design (runs any debugger command, attaches to processes, reads and writes their memory, writes files). Two earlier published advisories (critical missing authentication fixed in 1.0/1.1, medium crash before the token check fixed in 1.2) are fixed in this version. The token is stored in plain text, transport is plain HTTP, no security policy file. No non-public security flaw found.",
