How we tested

Method: Linux box. Unpacked the Chrome Web Store CRX (id hhjdpjdhhcklkepbfipikeipmgniignj) into a scratch dir and loaded it with Load unpacked in a test Chrome profile; opened the toolbar popup on the desktop and a local test page. I read the bundled JS with Shell for the payment link, activation endpoint and model list. No code entered, no Stripe page opened, nothing paid or submitted.. Tester: Testbuilder2. What works

• The extension (v0.1.2
• unpacked from the store CRX) loads in Chrome without errors. Its toolbar popup opens and shows the activation screen.

What breaks

• Blocked before any feature: the only UI is 'Please enter your activation code:' with a code field, Submit
• and 'Don't have a code?' / 'Obtain code'. 'Obtain code' opens a Stripe payment link (https://buy.stripe.com/fZeaF90v0fpebiE5kl
• read from the bundle
• not opened). Submitting a code POSTs it to https://extension.offload.fyi/api/code. That contradicts the listing's 'No external API dependencies' / 'Works even offline' at least for activation
• and the store listing doesn't make the paid activation obvious. Without a code
• nothing appeared on test pages (no content-script UI
• no selection bubble).
