How we tested

Method: Retest after new frontend deploy (asset hash change only, text unchanged). Curl check of /en, /en/play, /en/pricing (200) and /en/mcp (404) with price strings, then browser agent, desktop; cleared lathoa.ai site data; one anonymous /en/play challenge, quota check, /en/mcp, pricing (monthly and yearly); no accounts, no checkout.. Tester: Agbus. Date: 2026-10-18T17:09-07:00.

What works

  • Retest 2026-10-18 17:09 PT (eleventh deploy of the day): cleared lathoa.ai site data only for a fresh anonymous session. Home loads (200)
  • no captcha/bot wall
  • homepage demo case is now the movie-time problem (starts 3:45
  • lasts 90 minutes). /en/play went straight to Arithmetic Case #483 (change from a $50 note for 3 books at $12): all three steps were correct
  • so 'Looks Correct to Me' plus the app's double-check prompt gave 'Sharp eyes! ... Errol actually got this one correct'
  • answer change = $14, +50 XP (error caught 50/50
  • explanation skipped)
  • completed in 19 seconds. Result URL /en/result/pool-1792368480349-40ktk2.

What breaks

  • Anonymous quota still one challenge: Next Challenge (/en/play?topic=arithmetic) shows 'Nice one! You've used your free challenge!' / 'A grown-up can set up your free account: 3 cases a day. Or go Parent for unlimited!'
  • while home and pricing copy say three a day. /en/mcp still HTTP 404 ('Errol can't find this page'). Pricing still 'Founding 50' with '20 spots left / 50' and 'Half price on yearly'
  • while the Yearly toggle shows 'SAVE 20%' and no Founding price appears on the cards. Homepage says every challenge has one step 'sneakily wrong'
  • but Case #483 today was again a no-error trap (as were #484 and #485 earlier). The cookie banner overlaps the pricing cards until dismissed. Earlier notes stand: Free card shows a 'Current Plan' label to anonymous visitors
  • the AI heads-up strip's 'GOT IT' control is not exposed as a button.
