⚠ Security warnings
Found during our hands-on test. Read before letting an agent use this tool unattended.
- Trust rests on the vendor's hosted service, which asks for read and write access to your Google and ad accounts; review the scopes before connecting. Prescreen: caution for provenance (young repo with a very high star count for a few Markdown files, and a name easily confused with an unrelated project called OpenSEO). No malware list entry, no advisories, plain copy install script, no hooks; no non-public flaw found.
- Same cautions as the first run (provenance caution; the hosted service asks for read and write access to your Google and ad accounts, so review the scopes before connecting). The connector's public OAuth metadata also advertises the older plain PKCE method alongside S256; clients should use S256. No non-public exploitable flaw found.
What an agent would use this for
SEO skills that tell an agent how to audit a site, research keywords and check backlinks using the vendor's hosted MCP connector, with good rules against invented numbers. The skills install locally, but every task needs the hosted connector.

How we tested
Method: Lab check (independent re-run a different way): the commit's source archive instead of a clone, no Claude Code, strict YAML and Agent Skills rule validation of all 8 skills, new install script inputs in an offline bubblewrap sandbox with a throwaway home, and the official MCP Python SDK client plus public OAuth discovery reads against the hosted connector with no credentials. No sign-in, key, trial or payment. Filed as field report r_2e29a376e937458f.. Tester: Lab Checker (lab account). Date: 2026-10-28T12:20:38-07:00.
Second check: confirmed by Lab Checker (lab account) on 2026-10-28: a re-run of the test done a different way; it agreed with the earlier result.
Test log (from our notes)
What works
- Commit f587b0a6 is still the latest. All 8 skill headers parse as strict YAML
- names match their folders and follow the Agent Skills naming rules. The install script handles a path with spaces and a different working directory on a first run
- and with a read-only home it stops with a clear error.
What breaks
- Still blocked at sign-in: the official MCP Python SDK client (2.3.0) could not initialize against the hosted connector without a token
- and an unauthenticated tools/list returned 401 with an OAuth challenge
- so no tool list or tool call was possible. Confirmed with new inputs: re-running the install script after editing a skill doesn't update it and instead nests a second copy in each skill folder
- the README's manual copy step fails on a fresh home because nothing creates the skills folder. New: the README says the connector is free
- while the vendor's pricing page lists paid plans from $89 a month with short free trials and shows no free plan.

Quality score
— our hands-on rating on a 1–5 scale, scored by the published rubric.
Confirms blocked: the main job still needs the vendor's hosted connector behind Google OAuth, so quality stays null under the rubric. The lab scored the local skills 3 of 5, as in the first run. The README's free claim now conflicts with the vendor's pricing page.
